After many years of living at home on the coast, Carol & David are true Wilmington locals.

After graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in Housing and Management, Carol spent many years as an Interior Designer, working with clients to furnish and accessorize their homes from top to bottom. That experience led her to a career in Real Estate in early 2006 and she joined Coastal Properties in 2019. With her passion for creating window treatments and over 45 years of experience, she began working with Strickland’s Window Coverings in February 2020 selling custom draperies, blinds, shades, and shutters.

In May of 2023, Carol opened The Design Center at Stricklands Home at 5422A Oleander Drive and continues to design and sell custom draperies, valances, bedspreads, duvets, pillow shams, dust ruffles, pillows, upholstered headboards, and drapery rods. She continues to sell blinds, shades, and shutters in partnership with the Stricklands Home team.

Carol's husband, David, grew up in Chapel Hill and attended UNC-W. He is a sales professional with over 40 years of sales and marketing experience in many different industries. David is a regional account manager with Carolina Streetscapes and his territory includes Coastal North and South Carolina. His experience with a "solution-focused" sales style coupled with an understanding of today’s technology makes him uniquely qualified in working with builders and developers to meet their neighborhood amenity needs. David and Carol's family includes daughter, Maggie and son, Zack and his wife Emily, and granddaughter, Baker. They have three granddogs - Sylvie, Ryleigh, and Henry.
